Miky Diez

I have been working as a full-time photographer for almost 20 years. I started out as a photojournalist for different print media in and around Madrid. My favourite aspect of that work were portraits, so over time I began to focus more on those (at that time in 2003 I was working as a photojournalist). In 2009-2010 during a 6-month photography project in Japan, I realised that in order to really follow my passion, I needed to change my focus and my field – so I decided to pursue a career as a portrait and fashion photographer. The beauty of this field is that the creative process allows for more freedom to express your personal style and break some conventions every once in a while.

Between 2012 and 2016 I published my work in magazines such as Yo Dona, Neo2, Vanidad, Sicky Mag, Vein Magazine and Avenue Illustraded.

In 2017 I moved to Germany to take up a position as a senior photographer with ESPRIT. In 2020 I decided to work as a freelance e-com life photographer at C&A (Orendt) in Düsseldorf.

Next year, in 2021 I got a position as a senior photographer at NA-KD in Sweden (Göteborg), mainly responsible for shooting e-com, editorials and retouching pictures.

Now in 2022, I moved back to Spain (Andalusia) to take up a position as a senior photographer with the tech company FREEPIK.
